on 07.26.09

A rectangular piece of art, the shape of a postcard 500x500 (is good)
or around in that area of measurement/pixels

Art must also include the phrase

"Save Gaila"

I don't mind other phrases but it must say

"Save Gaila"

so we can catch as much easy attention to the petition and cause as we can.
Please send your finished art to me

sweetpearchild ( at ) gmail ( dot ) com

preferably uploaded on to Tiny Pic or Photobucket, and send me the direct URL as well as the file if you wish

SUBMISSION starts Sunday 07/26/2009 ends Sunday 08/16/2009 at 8:00pm est

Monday 8/17/2009 I will make a VOTING POST POLL featuring all the art.
This poll will be up for a week almost until Sunday 8/23/2009 and will close at 12:00 am est

The winners will be announced the proceeding Sunday 08/23/2009 at 8:00 pm est
That winner's submission we will use as the universal art to print out postcards ( On your own printer ) and mail them to the addresses given.

The results will only be viewable to me. BUT once the voting ends, I will send the results to the Moderators of this community as well, so you know this is being judged fairly. I rather not display results cause I don't want anyone's feelings getting hurt if their art was not picked. Art is subjective etc etc etc. I know this, but I rather do it this way cause I am a softie like that :-D

Any questions feel free to drop a line in this post or email me personally.
Please keep this community clutter free and direct all contest related topics here

Crap! I missed the awesome [livejournal.com profile] goddessrockgeek's birthday on the 24th. I hope you had a great one, hon!

Also, I wanted to thank whomever nominated my drabble "clock" for the Running With Scissors Award. Thank you so much for thinking of me! *smooch*

SQUEEEEEE!

Okay, when are we starting the write in campaign to urge Gaila's TOTAL AND COMPLETE NON DEATH on JJ Abrams?

I brought the question over to [livejournal.com profile] teamgaila (actually, someone else brought it first, I just brought it up again) -- hopefully we can get something together! There's already a contest for designing the postcard art going on, if anyone is interested!

Speaking of my green honeypie, this is, at the moment, my very favorite Gaila fic thus far: You're Gonna Make It After All by [livejournal.com profile] igrokspock - it's gen, and stars Gaila, Nyota and Spock, with a hilarious guest starring appearance by James T. Gaila is having a really difficult time figuring out human sexual mores, and by the time she's spent an entire year studying them, she's gained "Two indecent exposure citations, one best friend, one amazing sex partner, one unexpected mentor, and a Starfleet-funded study of intercultural sexual norms." *draws huge, sparkly hearts around this fic*

OMG you guys! Remember that hatchling I thought died? (No you don't, don't lie, you totally don't pay attention to my fake dragon silliness. ;) It's back and its ALL GROWN UP! So now I have TWO Red dragons OMG! And one IS a female! *dances*

Okay, so... What do I do now? LOL

Let's not stop petting the little red one, because if she dies it will be THAT SAME HORROR ALL OVER AGAIN! Ooh, speaking of horror, I'm suddenly in the mood to hit my watch list again. *G*

Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today!

Heh. Now Jessica, the LONE female, is looking all shifty eyed at the pack of males hanging out with her.

OH MY GOD I'M GIVING THEM PERSONALITIES! help
