One problem with watching TV on the computer is that when my attention wanders, I have to switch away from the screen and only have audio, which I tend to tune out. When the TV is on, I seem to miss less somehow. I wish I could hook up my laptop to the TV -- wirelessly, of course. But only the video part. Like my computer is my cable box, you know? There has to be technology like that out there, doesn't there?

So I finished Season 1 of Legend of the Seeker last night. I want to watch it again IMMEDIATELY, but did anybody else feel like the finale was kind of anti-climactic? I don't know, it seems like there was all this build up and danger all season, and then suddenly poof! Darken Rahl's dead and the season is over. I mean, I adored the future/past timeline and the things Kahlen and Richard did for one another (and OMG did I freak when I thought Zed was Ded!), but it just felt too tidy.

And they STILL don't get to bang. That could get really old. But at least they don't angst about it all the time. They've got other shit to do.

It's my first baby dragon! I'm so proud. *sniff* I wonder who she'll look like? I'm hoping she'll have green and red and be female so I can name her GAILA! I need to name my bloodline... I should just call it "auDucks". *G*

Regarding LOTS season finale: yup. Loved, loved, loved the time travel stuff and the lengths to which Kahlan would go and how Darken Rahl's hubris was his demise in that alternate reality. But then in real time when he gets zapped and poof? Extraordinarily anti-climatic. If I'd been there beta, I would have made them add another ep to the season to do it right via D.R.

Hee. Maybe what every show needs is a good beta! I was really kind of stunned at the way DR was defeated. I kept waiting for him to pop up and go "HAHA! Not so dead after all, eh Seeker?"

I loved the entire first season of LotS, and I think it really hit its stride about a third of the way through. But like you I was pretty disappointed in the finale. It had some good things, but it was really rushed (maybe should've been a two parter), and anticlimactic, and way too neatly wrapped up at the end.

But I still love the show and can't wait for the next season.

Yes definitely! I can't wait to see what happens next either. Luckily, it's the kind of show where you can go, "Eh, whatevs." and move on. ;)

it would have made a good 2 parter. I for one wanted to see more of Kahlans decent into DR bed friend. You don't go *facepalm* my god you're right, arch nemisis, let us pork for the good of all. It should have been drawn out more.

As for DR quick defeat, I think he'll be back, or at least still having an impact in season 2. He's got huge armies, they need to be paid, kept in line, etc. There must be more DR shenanigans!

It definitely felt like it should have been a two-parter. Preferably with the resolution waiting until next season, but I suspect the show's format sort of prohibits that.

I have a tough time believing he's just gone either. That's WAY too simple.

Hey, I just got the first successful offspring from my own dragons, too! They are hatchlings now, so I don't know gender yet, but yayy second generation!

It's crazy how exciting it is, isn't it? LOL I'm completely addicted. I'm DYING to get a pink dragon to mate with a purple one and see what happens!

I'll go pet your bb's now! Thank you! Oh, and I couldn't resist picking up another pretty pink one either. *G*
