I am sick, so this is going to be shorter than my shortest posts of late!
I am very sad today. My long time favorite coffee cup got chipped recently, and I couldn't find the piece. So you know what that means... a crack is developing that in another inch or two will render my beautiful, perfectly colored (deep mauve) 24 oz. Mug of Unknown Original Origin unusable. And I will cry, because I've never found one even close to as suitable. Sniff.

I'm off to puke now, but first I wanted to point out this awesome fucking essay about sizeism in fandom by
hederahelix. I'm a fat chick, most of my friends are fat chicks, and I've always felt like fandom was a pretty safe space for us (even though I'm sure our self esteem isn't exactly BOOSTED by the fact that our heroines are all fit and/or skinny chicks, unless, like me, you've fallen deeply in love with Jill Scott on The #1 Ladies' Detective Agency -- see icon). But still, most people I know in fandom stand outside the size 0-6 range considered "beautiful" in western culture. And I adore that about us! Dudes, too! It's easy to forget that we wonderful fat folk have internalized all the hatred in our society, and it seeps out like that icky ectoplasm shit in Supernatural, in our fic, our art, and our conversations. OUR PORN! OUR BEAUTIFUL PORN! No fat chicks. *sigh*
Anyway, before I go to bed, I wanted to share that post with everyone.

Don't forget to pet my... pink otter? and dragonling!

It was a fanfic for an obscure Johnny Depp movie (most of his movies are pretty obscure, being mostly pretty bad.) called Nick of Time. But, by God I wrote a heavy main character.
